Pikey Peak Trek
We choose the Pikey Peak Trek because it is a safe and unexplored trek with the best panoramic view of Mount Everest from the hilly mountain of Khumbu region. Some of the high lights are visiting a small Sherpa’s farmer village, painted Buddhist monasteries and the rhododendron forest. The trek balances both nature and culture exploration. During our trekking and in Kathmandu we can practice Yoga or Qigong to stretch and prepare our bodies for our trekking adventure. We will have the best view of Himalayas from Dhaulagiri in the west to mount Kangchenjunga in the east. Day 1: ARRIVAL DAY KATHMANDU (D)
Transport to our peaceful hotel, a hidden gem near Boudhanath stupa (a world heritage site). All the profits of this hotel goes to a children’s home. You will love joining the Tibetan pilgrims who come to this sacred site to walk around Boudha stupa and spin the thousands of prayer wheels. Overnight at Hotel in Boudhanath.
Day 2: KATHMANDU SIGHTSEEING (B - D)
We will have 2 days to explore Kathmandu valley. Hiking distance from our hotel there is Kopan Monastery. Kathmandu is a vibrant city, full of history, palaces and temples. There are a lot of interesting sites like Durbar Square, with temples dating back to the 12th century and Pashupatinath Temple, the country's most important Hindu temple, on the banks of the Bagmati river.
Day 3: DRIVE TO STARTING POINT - DHAP
We will drive (about 7-8 hours) from Kathmandu to Dhap (2400m) by private jeep. We will take breaks on the way. We will stay overnight at a simple mountain hut accommodation, which offers the best local food (Dal Bhat, potatos, local breads and seasonal vegetables with hot/cold drinks).
Day 4: TREKKING DAY 1
Today is an easy Trekking day from Dhap to Jhapre (2930m). We will be hiking for about 5 hours, on the way we will taste some of local products, pass through small villages and witness the rural life style. We will stay overnight at a small family owned guest house - Homestay.
Day 5: TREKKING DAY 2: JHAPRE
ACCLIMATIZATION DAY - We will start our day with a Yoga - Qigong session to prepare our bodies for our trekking. After breakfast we will go for a village walk. We will stay another night at the same Homestay so we are well acclimatised to go to higher altitudes.
Day 6: TREKKING DAY 3: PIKEY BASE
Today we will start to trek uphill (yes...many stone steps) towards Pikey Base camp (3600m). During our 5 hours trek today we will be seeing local people life and enjoy the natural beauties from Pikey hill area. We will stay overnight at a simple Tea house about 1,5 hours from the Pikey peak. Here it can get chilly and windy at night.

During the milking season we can try some fresh yak milk, yogurt and cheese. After continuing our 3 hours hike through picturesque landscape and rhododendron forest we will reach Jase Bhangyang (3520m), where we will stay overnight at a simple guest house.
Day 8: TREKKING DAY 5: JUNBESHI
After breakfast we continue our trekking to Junbeshi (2390m). En route we will be passing some local villages and a Buddhist prayer wall. We will stay at comfortable guest house where you can choose your meal.
Day 9: TREKKING DAY 6: DAY TRIP
Morning Yoga session. We will stay an extra night at Junbeshi (a well known Sherpa village) as there is so much to explore in this area. We will do a day hike to Thuptencholing Monastery. Overnight at the same Guesthouse.
Day 10: TREKKING DAY 7: SALLERI
Today we will trek about 4 to 5 hours from Junbeshi to Salleri (2360m). En route we will visit a popular monastery and pass carved mantra stone walls and prayer wheels. Overnight stay at a local guest house.
Day 11: RETURN TO KATHMANDU (B - L )
We will drive (about 8 hours) from Salleri to Kathmandu by private jeep. We will take breaks on the way. We will check in at the same hotel near Boudhanath stupa. Free evening to enjoy the comforts of a hot shower and western food.
Day 12: KATHMANDU SIGHTSEEING ( B - D)
We will explore another part of Kathmandu valley. Another must-see attraction is the Royal Palace, and the old cities of Patan or Bhaktapur with its various temples. There is the Monkey temple on a hilltop on the West of Kathmandu called Swayambhunath Stupa. We will round off our Nepal Adventure with a closing circle and delicious dinner.

Dolpo is the most beautiful and least developed district of Nepal. Travelers have rarely visited this ancient area because of the high passes. Both the lower and higher Dolpo trekking pass through beautiful valleys, gigantic mountains, pine forests, Rhododendrons and Oaks. The customs and traditions are quite similar to those of Tibet. The main highlights of the trek are the mystical beauty of this region, the spectacular landscape, mesmerizing Shey Phoksundo lake, isolated villages of Ringmo and the centuries-old monasteries.
